MISKL provides a caring, nurturing environment that allows children to thrive and enjoy their learning experience. Learning is based through an integrated model that incorporates the English National Curriculum's Early Years Foundation Stage Framework with topic-based approach, enhanced by free-flow learning alongside the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) that is designed around eight learning principles that are considered essential to children’s learning and development.

EIGHT PRINCIPLES

(Eight Principles shape the practice of our “Early Years” programme at MIS)

There are seven areas of learning and development that shape our Early Years programme. All seven are important and interconnected. Three of the areas are fundamental and particularly crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and for building their capacity to learn and thrive. These three areas are :

  • Communication and language;
  • Physical development and
  • Personal, social and emotional development

We must also support the children in four specific areas through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied. These areas are :

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy / Maths
  • Understanding the world; and
  • Expressive arts and design

THE CURRICULUM

We plan an exciting and challenging curriculum based on our observation of the children’s needs, interests and stages of development across seven areas of learning to enable the children to achieve and exceed the early learning goals.

All the seven areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected. Three areas are particularly crucial for igniting children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive.

Children are provided with a range of rich, meaningful first-hand experiences in which they explore, think creatively and are active. We aim to develop and foster positive attitudes towards learning, confidence, communication and physical development.

Tuition Fees


Tuition fees must be paid in advance and can be settled as an annual payment or paid term- by-term (three terms per academic year). The fees should be paid on or before the first day of term.
